About Me
Hi, my name is Daniel Fraser. I am a Canadian Game Designer who loves to design and script!
I love to design, experiment with code, and create. I spent much of my time playing games growing up, replaying sections over and over to understand how games are put together. I chased creating games into my educational journey as a Computer Science major first, then Game Design shortly after. I became extremely versatile in not only designing mechanics, but seeing to their efficient creation through scripting. Hence, my role on many project ends up being a bit more of a Technical Game Designer.
I started learning game development with Unity Engine first, having been introduced in high school and growing with it well throughout my educational journey. Beyond school, I began to learn the ways of Unreal, pairing my knowledge of traditonal text-based scripting in C# with a more visual, flow-based methodology in Blueprinting. I am always eager to not only learn more about design but how code and engines help put the functional pieces of games together.
Outside of games, I love to follow and play ice hockey recreationally. I also keep up with professional wrestling and the world of computer hardware, the latter of which I've gotten into recently thanks to my current role as a computer repair technician.
